Vegvisir is known as the runic compass or the Viking Nordic compass, and it is made of eight Viking rune staves. Vegvisir is also known as a symbol of protection and guidance and is believed to be used as a compass by the Vikings. The word Vegvisir means Wayfinder and signpost in the Icelandic language.
This Viking compass necklace is made of solid hypoallergenic stainless steel.
The design has raised runes in the center and the outer circle with antiquing in the recessed areas to highlight the details. This high polish pendant (without bail) approximately measures 39mm in diameter x 3mm thick. The bail can accommodate a chain or cord necklace up to 4mm wide.
