The ankh is an Egyptian symbol commonly used in ancient writing to represent the word for "life" and, by extension, is a symbol for life. The ancient Egyptians would often carry and wear ankh ornaments for protection.
This awesome ankh necklace is made of solid hypoallergenic 316l stainless steel. The ankh has an eye of Ra in the center; the pendant is then given a high polish black PVD finish.
The Eye of Ra is a symbol of the sun. It is personified by several Egyptian goddesses, such as Wadjet, Sekhmet, Hathor, Bastet, and Mut. The symbol has been inscribed on ancient structures throughout Egypt and worn as amulets for protection.
This ankh (without bail) approximately measures 50mm long x 32mm wide x 4.5mm thick. The bail can accommodate a chain or cord necklace up to 5mm wide.
